About

Dawn Wilson Photography Tours is now Creeks and Critters Nature Tours!

Expanding with additional tour options (more night skies, more hiking opportunities, more destinations) and a new guide, we will be sure to take you to the best places this beautiful park has to offer plus other unique destinations. Whether you are looking for wildlife or seeking out a stunning image for your wall, we will listen to your requests and goals to design a custom tour that you will talk about for years to come.

We are professional photographers and Leave No Trace certified nature guides Richard Barberot and Dawn Wilson, and we look forward to taking you on an adventure in Rocky Mountain National Park, other national parks and faraway destinations to find and photograph the wildlife, scenic locations and night skies of this stunning world.

With more than 40 years of combined experience exploring and guiding in various locations throughout the U.S., including with brown bears in Alaska and polar bears in Churchill, your guides know what it takes to make a successful outdoor experience. But most of all, we will take you on a photo tour designed with your goals in mind.

Dawn’s experience includes serving two terms as President of the North American Nature Photography Association, publishing more than 800 articles about nature, travel and the outdoors, writing a hike of the week and nature nuggets column for a local newspaper in Estes Park, and publishing 100 Things to Do in Estes Park Before You Die. Dawn is also a master naturalist and has studied photography for more than 30 years. She knows Colorado and is eager to share her knowledge with you — both about the area and in capturing stunning images — and other beautiful locations.

Rocky tours are available as full day (8-10 hours), half day (4-6 hours) or sunrise or sunset tours (2-4 hours). Night sky tours are also available as well as hiking tours.

Let’s have an adventure!
