Sunrise - Sunset Tours

Embark on a journey of unparalleled beauty with our sunrise and sunset tours. Witness nature’s fleeting spectacle amidst perfect lighting, majestic mountain vistas and scenic lake splendor, all with the potential for wildlife on the move.

Designed for the visitor short on time but wanting to make the most of the time they do have, these shortened tours visit one location for sunrise or sunset to capture a few scenes of the park during its most brilliant hours.

Sunrise Splendor: Begin your day with awe-inspiring views as the first light of dawn paints the Rockies in hues of pink and purple. Our expert guides will lead you to a prime location where you can watch as the sun peeks over the horizon, casting a warm glow over the rugged landscape.

Sunset Serenity: End your day in tranquility with our Sunset Tour, where the sky transforms into a canvas of vibrant colors. Capture the silhouette of towering peaks against a backdrop of fiery reds and oranges as the sun sets behind the Rockies.

Trip Details

The best light happens during the fringes of the day at dawn and dusk. Therefore, these tours focused on photographing sunrise and sunset will start or finish in the dark. These times of day, especially in the mornings, are cooler but that usually means more atmospheric conditions and colorful skies, so we will provide the proper guidance on how to dress and what to bring on your tour. These tours are ideal for the person on a quick visit to RMNP or seeks the perfect shot to take home to adorn their walls. The private, custom tour stops in one scenic location with the best opportunity for a wall-hanging worthy scene based on season, weather and fitness level.

Itinerary

All tours are custom and do not follow a predetermined itinerary. Prior to your tour, we will send you an outline of where we will go during the tour, but especially with weather, the tour will go to destinations that give the landscape photographer the biggest impact. Because of our familiarity with the park, we know where to go for what scenes and when to be there for the best light, so we will plan the tour around your goals on which types of scenes you want to make priority and then plan accordingly depending on the time of year.
